The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed with regard to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily. The support point established for intervention encounters a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to allow the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social website Assistance companies,” the agency said.
